MVSR & Roscoe Village

April 24-25, 2010
Coshocton, Ohio

Twenty scouts and nine adults headed down to Roscoe Village in Coshocton Ohio. Roscoe Village is an historical village with many buildings being used as part of the museum there. When we arrived after an hour and a half of dodging Amish buggies and trying to find a radio station we began our tour of Rocoe Village. Inside the visitors center we learned crafts such as tin smithing and how to make rope out of twine. After we had our brown bag lunch in the picnic area, we went into the town to see a blacksmith shop, old houses, the one room schoolhouse, the doctors home, and many other stores. After the tour we stopped at the Candy Shop for ice cream. Then to the cemetery to do grave etchings so we could earn the Roscoe Village Scout patch. When we finally got to MVSR we set up and prepared for a fun night of camping and ate pasta and hamburgers until we were stuffed!
