Frontier District Klondike Derby February 2, 2002 Cleveland
MetroParks Brecksville Reservation A cool crisp February morning dominated the Klondike Derby, but still no snow. All patrols were ready to run with or without snow so the event moved on without a hitch. There were roughly 14 troops participating in the Derby. Throughout the day each patrol had to travel with their sledge to different stations. At each station they used their scouting skills and the contents of their sledge to complete a challenge. The Lumberjack Patrol did an outstanding job during the competition and took 2nd Place overall. Well Done! In attendance were Jared, Kyle, Pat, Rahul, Rob, and Tyler. Fairbanks, the Orienteering station, was run by Mr. Makowski, Mr. See, and Mr. Svihlik.
