Summer Camp 2015

July 12th - 18th
Loveland, OH

Date and Time of Departure: Sunday, July 12th, meet in parking lot behind old church at 8:00am. We will pack, collect medications, issue hats and/or t-shirts, and take care of any last minute items. Plan is to leave by 8:30am.

Enroute: PACK A LUNCH! We will stop at a rest area to have lunch on the way to camp.

Uniform: We will travel in our Class A uniform (scout shirt, scout pants, scout socks). Bring along your troop hat and red troop neckerchief for pictures on the first day of camp. If this is your first year attending summer camp with the troop, you will be given a troop hat and troop t-shirts before departure on Sunday. Scouts that have not taken the swim test should wear swim trunks under scout shorts.

Preloading: We will preload the troop trailer with troop gear Saturday evening after 4:00pm mass. Mass usually ends around 4:45-5:00pm.

Money and Valuables:

• Campers are encouraged not to bring valuables to camp. There is not a system at camp to secure these items. Camp Friedlander cannot take responsibility for any valuable items. Put names on every item prior to arriving at camp.
• A scout may want to bring $40-50 spending cash for a T-Shirt, an occasional ice cream, soda, crafts, or even to repurchase a lost or forgotten item. We recommend bringing the money in small denominations in an envelope with his name on it. Adult leaders keep the envelopes while in camp so the scouts do not lose all of their money. The scout signs out the amount they want to take from the envelope and then returns the envelope back to the leader for safe keeping.

Forms and Other Good Things to Know: Below is a list of forms and other information about the programs being offered at camp. Everyone should read Information for Parents and Scouts. If you are taking ACE, COPE, Climbing, Scuba, or Snorkeling there are additional forms to complete.
