Emerald Necklace Trail
Chagrin Leg - 4

November 22nd, 2003

The day could not have been better for a November hike. A disappointing wrong turn at the beginning of the hike gave us an additional 3.5 miles of hiking. After a few corrections we made it back to the correct trail and continued toward North Chagrin Reservation. With the added miles we were behind schedule for our pick up at the end and decided to quicken the pace. Hiking went well after that, but we were not able to make up the lost time completely. Our drivers knew our route and were able to pick us up at a location near trails end. A valuable lesson on checking map and direction was learned on this hike. Hikers of Emerald Necklace Trail 4 were Jared, Nate, Ryan, Mr. Makowski, and Mr. Svihlik.

Time for a shoe change.

Near the start, hikers take time for a photo in South Chagrin Reservation.

Checking out the Chagrin river.

After completing the long hike everyone was ready to head home for a well deserved rest.
