Frontier District 2004 Fall Camporee
September 24-26, 2004
Hinckley, Ohio
We had a great time and great weather for this year's Camporee. The competitions were a little different than usual. The stations used team building and physical challenges rather than traditional scouting skills. The Predator and Screaming Eagle patrols were joined by several members from Troop 811. During the day patrols worked together to pass through a full size spider web, direct a golf ball through several lengths of pipe, turn over a tarp while standing on it, tying knots with one hand, building and starting a fire to boil water, along with other activities. After dinner we attended a prayer service followed by an arousing campfire with songs and skits. We then returned to our campsite to make and munch on Smores. Campers at camporee were Alex, Chris, DJ, Eric, Jared, Kevin, Matt K., Matt S., Philip, RJ, Ryan, Mr. Makowski, Mr. Svihlik. From Troop 811 were Brad, Matthew, Steven, Mr. Graham, Mr. Mayher. |
