The troop was
able to make a quickly planned trip to the cabin and
grounds at the Byzantine Monastery. We stayed two nights
in the cabin kept warm by a wood burning stove. It was a
snowy weekend where many of the scouts spent time working
on advancement requirements and having a little fun in
the snow. In the afternoon we took a trip to the pool at
Broadview Center to work on swimming requirements for
First and Second class ranks along with practicing for
swimming merit badge. In the evening we had a great
dinner and spent the night playing card and board games
like Yugio, Cosmic Encounter, and Risk. In attendance
during this weekend were David, Jared, Justin, Kyle K.,
Kyle S., Matt, Philip, Ryan, Mr. Makowski, Mr. See, Mr.
Svihlik, and Mr. Thomas.
