Bike Hike
August 10, 2002
Erie Canal Towpath
Cuyahoga Valley National Park
The Troop decided to take a bike hike to get in some physical activity and fulfill one of the requirements for Second Class. It was a beautiful August day for bicycling along the Erie Canal Towpath. We left early enough to avoid the crowds and enjoy the scenic trek. To pass the requirement each scout needed to bicycle 10 miles and use a map and compass along the way. Everyone was feeling pretty good and we ended up riding over 13 miles. The avid cyclists of Troop 810 included Bradley, Garett, Joey J., Joey P., Kyle, Nick, Philip, Mr. Makowski, Mr. Svihlik, and Mr. Thomas. |
